This month I will give you some tips and tricks for that red carpet look! First you need to have that A List glow. Bronzer is your best friend here. Use a big fluffy brush and swirl it into a bronzer that is 1-2 shades darker than your skin color and apply in a heart shape, starting at your temples so that it frames your face. Remember to blend! If you want to go a step further use a sunless tanner. You can get it in a lotion, spray, gel, or foam. Or you can go for it and have it airbrushed by a pro! Here’s a little tidbit, if you want your arms to look more toned, use self tanner just under your triceps for that chisled look you see on the carpet. You can also add a tiny bit of shimmer powder to your body lotion for an all over glow. Make sure it’s not glitter, we are not trying for Barbie here.
Don’t forget your pearly whites! You can use a bleach kit at home or go into your dentist for a whitening treatment for instant white! Another trick is to apply red lip stain onto your gumline. This is a secret the stars use to brighten their smile when there’s no time for the dentist.
If you want to wow them with your brows make sure they are groomed. Use a pencil or powder with an angle brush to fill in any gaps in your brows. Start at the top of the brow and use short strokes. You can also use a brow gel that’s waterproof if you want perfectly defined brows for that lifted effect.
Speaking of lift, not everyone on the red carpet needs botox. You can get an instant facelift by placing tiny braids at the temples and pin them back tightly for a mini lift. Make sure you hide the braids. For even more lift, use a sheer illuminator on the tops of your cheek bones to give you a fresh face with glamour.
To dazzle them even more you want to have bright eyes for those photos, here’s a unusual trick that really works! To reduce puffy eyes place an ice cube on your tongue and hold it to the roof of your mouth for ten minutes! I know, crazy, but it works!
Last but not least how about that kisser? Give thins lips a boost by using a neutral lip liner and draw a straight line across the peak of the upper lip, ignoring the dip in the center. Then fill in with lipstick. This creates the illusion of that Hollywood pout. You know what they say in show biz…break a leg, or not.
